New Wave Sailing also will assist you with passages on your own vessel anywhere around the British Isles, The Mediterranean, Caribbean, Pacific, just about anywhere. We act as skipper and navigator to either move your vessel from one island to another, one continent to another or simply from one marina to another. In assisted passage you as the owner are usually onboard either learning about ocean crossings and the day to day planning of short or long routes or enjoying the safety of having experts onboard.

Skippered Charter Holidays

Skippered charter is different in that it is all about relaxation. New Wave Sailing are onboard to skipper and attend to yourself, your family, your friends or colleagues with high standards of boat handling, safety, teaching, housekeeping, serving tailored al a carte menu’s and offering a wealth of knowledge of places to visit, fish, swim, snorkel, whale and dolphin watch, the most scenic place to drop anchor for a BBQ, or the quietest or most lively taverna’s.

There is no sailing experience required by yourself or your party and the level of involvement on your part towards ‘introduction to sailing’ or ‘advanced sailing’ is entirely your decision We can organise your charter specifically with children and families in mind, or birthday parties, celebrations of all kinds, theme weeks, team building, honeymoons and many more. All ideas are considered and discussed with yourselves on how best to meet your exact requirements. Skippered charter can be fun, rewarding, challenging, romantic, totally chilled or all of those things!
For example we have skippered a group of clients wanting a ‘healing package’ with alternative therapies by qualified therapists undertaken at sea, for the ocean atmosphere and close contact with dolphins to maximise healing. We have catered for ‘men only’ island hopping and ‘ladies only’ island hopping. Many clients are all groups of friends and some are mature and consider it time to be ‘sailed about for a change’! Some people want to be in a different port or taverna every night, other people wish to stay out at sea for days on end to experience the awesome night skies and milky way. Some even want to purely arrive with their sextants and be taken 50miles offshore to complete Ocean master sights and charting. Whatever your idea, wherever your chosen sailing area, ring to discuss the lifetime experience for you.

What We Do

• Choose appropriate yacht to suit your purpose
• Liase with marina’s for berth bookings
• Research areas of interest
• Provide equipment such as fishing gear, snorkelling gear etc
• Compile al a carte menu
• Provide all safety equipment and first aid
• Ensure all your preferences are in place
• Ensure all your requests are met
• Provide introduction to sailing or more advanced learning
• Offer daily housekeeping service
• Arrange weekly laundry service

What We Need From You

To begin tailor making your adventure we need as much information as possible from yourselves to begin costing. i.e.:

• Preferred sailing area both starting point and destination
• Amount of persons in party
• Activities required (i.e.: fishing, dolphin watching etc)
• Special dietary requirements
• Any celebration requests
• Drinking/non drinking preferences
• Smoking/non smoking preferences
• Sailing or no sailing experience
